On February 22nd, Minnequa Works Credit Union representatives joined alongside Credit Union leaders from throughout Colorado in a commitment to advocate for our Members and the community we serve in Southern Colorado. Advocacy and conversations with State Legislators took center stage during the Credit Union Day at the Capitol Event hosted by the GoWest Credit Union Association.
The event, which brought together over 170 leaders from Credit Unions across the state, served as a platform for meaningful discussions with local House Representatives, State Senators and Legislative Staff on crucial topics impacting credit unions, members, and our community. Conversations focused on topics such as financial literacy, access to affordable financial services, and the vital role credit unions such as Minnequa Works play in supporting local economies.
Legislative support for credit unions in Southern Colorado further enhances the ability to provide valuable financial service and support the best interests of Members. Discussions held during Credit Union Day at the Capitol with State Legislators helps to build awareness of the unique needs and opportunities in our local community.
