Being able to sleep better at night has a lot of key benefits including stress reduction! According to SleepEducation.org, here are a few tips to help you establish healthy sleep habits:
- Keep a consistent schedule. Lay down and wake up at the same time every day, including weekends and vacations
- Turn off electronic devices, including cell phones, tablets and tv’s at least 30 minutes before bedtime
- Don’t eat a large meal before bedtime and avoid consuming caffeine or alcohol before bedtime
- Exercise regularly
- Make your bedroom quiet and relaxing with a comfortable, cool temperature
