Minnequa Works Credit Union is excited to announce that CEO, Nathan Cape, has been selected as an emerging leader among Credit Unions to participate in the “Crasher” program at the upcoming Government Affairs Conference in Washington, DC.
This noteworthy event is recognized for supporting the development of emerging leaders within the credit union movement and is the first year that the event is hosted by America’s Credit Unions, bringing together industry leaders and advocates to address critical issues facing the credit union landscape. President and CEO of America’s Credit Unions, Jim Nussle, shared insight as to the value in being a Crasher relating to “expert analysis on economic trends and regulatory impacts to hiking Capitol Hill and speaking directly with lawmakers on the issues credit unions and their members care about.”
As a participant in the 2024 Crash the GAC delegation, Cape joins 57 other talented credit union professionals that have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the credit union movement, showcasing commitment to advancing the values and principles that define the industry.
Learnings and perspectives gained from this experience will undoubtedly contribute to the reinforcement of Minnequa Works’ dedication to the well-being of Members in Southern Colorado, expanding on effectiveness and service that directly support the local community and the vision of “People Helping People.”
