Community invited to join October 29 celebration featuring ribbon cutting, live music, Trunk-or-Treat, giveaways and more
Minnequa Works Credit Union is excited to announce the grand opening celebration of its newly renovated Belmont Branch on Thursday, October 29, 2026. The celebration marks an exciting new chapter for the credit union as it continues investing in its facilities, enhancing the member experience and strengthening commitment to serving Southern Colorado.
The newly transformed Belmont Branch brings a fresh, modern look and an updated banking experience to a location that has served generations of Minnequa Works members. As the credit union approaches its 90th anniversary in 2027, the investment reflects its continued focus on building for the future while honoring the relationships and community connections that have defined Minnequa Works since 1937.

It’s an investment in our members, our community and the future of Minnequa Works,” said Nathan Cape, President and CEO of Minnequa Works Credit Union. “We’ve been part of the Pueblo community for nearly 90 years, and we’re incredibly excited to bring new life and energy to our Belmont Branch. This transformation represents our commitment to continuing to evolve, grow and deliver the local difference our members have come to know and trust for generations.”
A Full Day of Community Celebration
Minnequa Works is inviting members, families and the entire Pueblo community to join in a day of celebration, with activities scheduled throughout the day.
11:30 AM – 1:30 PM | Sneak Peek Lunch with the Latino Chamber of Commerce
The celebration will begin with a special Sneak Peek Lunch in partnership with the Latino Chamber of Commerce. Community members and local business leaders are invited to enjoy lunch while getting an early look at the newly updated branch.
3:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Grand Opening Celebration
The afternoon and evening will feature a community celebration filled with family-friendly activities, entertainment and opportunities to experience the newly renovated branch.
Highlights include:
- 4:00 PM Ribbon Cutting in partnership with the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce
- Live musical performance by Christian Jaquez
- Trunk-or-Treat for children and families
- Giveaways, prizes and family-friendly fun
